18 Oct 05 - Lunch...film

Today I had lunch together with Jee Won, a Korean. I knew her in my Italian class. We had a good warm seafood noodle together in a Chinese restaurant. As Italian is our common language, we need to converse in Italian. Good practice!

Angelina, Estella and I watched “Vacanze Romane” starred by Audrey Hepburn and Greogory Peck. It was a very old romantic movie made in Rome around 1953. Some scenes were quite funny. It is a romance story about a princess ran away from her duty to take a break and then met a journalist and when the journalist realised that she was a princess he wanted to make big buck out of it by asking his friend to take secret shots of her while they went out together in Rome. In the end, both of them fell in love with one another. It was not a sweet romantic ending. The princess decided to go back to her “prison” to fulfil her responsibility as a princess. It is a fact that sometimes we cannot have everything in our lives.
